What a great and glorious night! Our first meeting of the Toastmaster New Year!
We decorated the room with balloons and hats and whistles and at least 38 people were present.
Natalia transferred to CBT and signed the banner. What a treasure to have with us!
Friedericke came from Mercury; Olivia and Mark came from First Berlin; Basty from Steglitz; Miriam from the USA and Münich.
Toastmasters from Hamburg, Romania, and Czech Republic and many, many Meet-Up guests from throughout Berlin were on hand.
As a special treat, Toastmasters District 95 International Speech Contest Finalist, Laszlo Szucs delivered his winning speech.
He is on his way to Washington D.C. to compete in the World Championship of Public Speaking.
We had Prosecco toasts and the whole night was charged with a feeling of new! new! new! Yes, we went overtime 15 minutes.
But no one seemed in a hurry to leave; a dozen people stayed for drinks and a chat till just before midnight.
I was really happy. Tom wanted a celebration and he was right. Here are a few photos.
