No, you don’t have to. Just show up, participate, and have fun! Guests will have the opportunity to speak on stage, but if you prefer not to, that’s perfectly fine.

Splendid speeches, cool people, and an enriching experience!

Our meetings are essentially divided into three sections in the following order:

  1. Prepared Speeches: 3-4 members deliver prepared speeches, typically lasting 5-7 minutes.
  2. Table Topics: Members and guests (optional but encouraged) give small, improvised speeches lasting 1-2 minutes.
  3. Evaluations: Feedback on speeches and other aspects of the meeting.

No, as a guest, you are welcome to attend our meetings as many times as you like to explore the potential benefits of becoming a member at Center Berlin Toastmasters!

However, please note that your participation as a guest in our meetings will be limited. For instance, guests cannot deliver prepared speeches or serve as meeting functionaries.

Our meetings are conducted in English, as we are an English-speaking club.

You are welcome to participate in our table topics sections and give an impromptu speech lasting 1-2 minutes – we encourage this! However, please note that only members have the opportunity to deliver prepared speeches of 5-7 minutes.

If you are a member of another club, you are welcome to request a speech slot. Keep in mind that our members have priority, as speech slots are limited.

No. Only members can. If you are a member of another club, you are welcome to request for a role.

Practice: Obtain stage time to deliver speeches or take on roles as a functionary (e.g., timer or grammarian) in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Support: Benefit from mentorship for your first few speeches, and receive feedback on your speeches from all members and guests.

Materials: Access online educational materials to progress toward your chosen goals.

Events: Take advantage of opportunities to participate in speech contests, workshops, and other fun activities.

Community: Lastly, meet and network with a diverse and international group of cool people!
