T.E.A.M. – Together Each Achieves More!

30 Attendees
Start with a T and an M for Toastmasters, insert some E for energy, and A for individual action, and you’ve got TEAM, exactly what it takes to create the best Toastmaster Club Climate. Here’s a look at what this meeting’s team came up with.

Four stellar speeches, each informative, convincing, and visionary.
Juan used the example of leafcutter ants to demonstrate how species destroy their own habitat. Parallels are evident in our plundering of earth’s resources. Juan proposes a solution, a new economy, and a provocative experiment called Pukika. See the video here.

The Pukika ExperimentSzilvia, Matthias and Johanna explored and promoted becoming First Aid proficient, structuring your speech, and progressing along the Toastmaster’s educational pathway one step at a time.

Four inspirational spontaneous speeches.
As Table Topics Master, Volker handled the TEAM theme expertly. Sebastian spoke to us as the Lion King “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go the furthest, go with others”. Jovana, the heart, appealed for cooperation among all the other bodily organs. Maud exhorted Germany’s neighbors to work together. And Rui gave a stirring talk to the Barcelona soccer team to pull out all the stops.

The evening was such a hit three of our guests decided to join right away. That’s the result of great TEAM work!

Here’s more about Center Berlin Toastmasters and the team behind it.
It takes a team working behind the scenes to assure that guests are welcomed, members are supported, and communication is extended to the outside community. T.E.A.M. : Together Each Achieves More reflects the natural synergy effect when the club Board, members, and coaches all work together.

Toastmaster Club Board elections are held every year in June for the term 1 July through 30 June. President, Vice President Education, Vice President Membership, Vice President Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer, and Sergeant at Arms serve for one year (or can share the term with a buddy-officer).

If you only do the speaking roles in Toastmasters, you’ll get less than half the benefit. Leadership roles develop confidence, offer speaking opportunities, and give you valuable experience for future management positions.
