This was an extra meeting on our calendar, the unusual 5th Monday of a month. For a bit of “madness” one of our coaches presided over the meeting. Although we were all absolutely crazy about the speeches we heard (that’s a good thing, by the way), we saved the real madness for after the meeting. Just around the corner in a little jazz bar, Le Labo, we discovered hidden talents among our club members. Le Labo calls itself a “Speak Easy” – what could be better for Toastmaster speakers?! Nibbling on bar food and drinking our favorite beverages, we couldn’t resist the music. What happened? We danced! Our VP Mentoring demonstrated how good he is on his toes. We ladies were treated to exhuberant dancing with an excellent partner.
What will I remember from this evening? Swinging the night away!
